In 2014, Garage Archive received from Vlad Chizhenkov over 2,000 color photographs of Moscow political and action art and non-institutional art events from the period 2007–2013. The archive includes documentation of 91 events featuring Denis Mustafin, Oleg Mavromatti, German Vinogradov, Anton Nikolaev, Nikolay Oleynikov, Voina, Bombily, and other artists.
One third of the archive comprises documentation of artistic interventions in unusual places, such as the deserted Kursky train depot, Druzhba meat pie café, an underground walkway, and the Tushinsky tunnel. Several series cover artistic actions that took place during the Occupy Abai protests at the Abai Kunanbaev monument in Moscow in May 2012 and the meetings outside the Moscow court hearings that followed.
Vlad Chizhenkov (b. 1971, Pushchino, Moscow Oblast) is an artist, photographer, and videographer who has taken part in many activist projects.
