The selection of inclusive practices in culture was launched by staff of the Inclusive Programs Department at Garage and its story begins with collecting materials about the development of inclusive programs in the Museum since 2015. As well as the institutional archive, the collection contains information about inclusive practices in other cultural institutions and artifacts from extra‑institutional initiatives. The selection brings together documents and objects related to adaptation and creating access to the museum space and creating programs for and with visitors with a range of experience, in particular those with various forms of disability (deaf and hard of hearing people, blind and partially sighted people, people with developmental disabilities) but also visitors with experience of migration (this area of work began in 2019). The selection includes materials about public programs organized by the department, which aimed to create a sustainable community of specialists in the field of inclusion and also shed light on the problems of social inequality and exclusion.
The selection includes texts, press releases, project plans, handouts, and photo and video documentation of events.
