The core of the archive of Kipling Dance Team (Yekaterinburg) is digital documentation of the team's activities from the 1990s to the 2020s: video recordings of performances, posters, programs, tickets, excerpts from rehearsal texts, photographs, and so on. The collection also includes ephemera from events in which Kipling took part, as well as documentation of contemporary dance events in Yekaterinburg and other cities. Since the 2010s, the team has been working as Kipling Performance Laboratory.
Kipling Dance Team was founded by Natalia Levchenko, Evgeny Martyanov, Olga Nadtochiy and Aleksandr Petrazhitsky in 1994. In the early years, the team produced mainly dance miniatures. Since 1999, they have created larger productions, including Girls on the Left, Boys on the Right (1999), High Tomatoes, or the Truth about Pears (2000), Intergastronomic Journey, Night Parachute Jump (2001), An Ordinary Story about Oil (2002), Transient Loneliness Syndrome (2003), Not Giselle (2004), Bord a Bord (2004), Our Dream (2005), Particular Case No. 11 (2005), Miraculous Poison (2006), Khuri‑Khuri (2008), Spark (2010), and Re: Poets (2010). In addition to theater performances, the company produced improvisational projects and performances in non‑theater spaces. These included Bach's Birthday (together with the group Po.V.S.Tantsy, 2000), All or Nothing (2009), Full Break (2009), Start Again (2010), Orchid and Spiderwort (2010), Realisms (2010), Alice in Wonderland (2011), Animal Style (2012), One Leg (2012), and Emerald City (2012).
