Oleg Tsodikov is a producer and club promoter (1991–2000) who organized the first Gagarin Party raves and founded and ran the club Titanic. In 2019, the book Made in Dance 1991–1999: Chronicles of Russia’s Electronic Club Scene, which he edited, was published. The resulting collection of preparatory materials is now part of Garage Archive Collection.
The book comprises interviews with active participants on the club scene at the time, including musicians, promoters, club owners, artists, scholars, and journalists. The testimony of contemporaries is illustrated with photographs from personal archives and flyers and posters for raves and parties. The memories include not only stories about the Russian club industry but also about artists’ squats, underground fashion, street art, and performance.
Oleg Tsodikov’s archive contains flyers and invitations to various events and photographs of club parties. It also includes digital copies of documents such as magazines about club culture, flyers, and photographs.
