The Tikhaya Studio Archive is made up of personal archives of Nizhny Novgorod artists and cultural figures. The basis of the archive is the dossiers of the studio’s resident artists, comprising photographs, sketches, sketchbooks, paper and electronic correspondence, video documentation of exhibitions of events, interviews, publications in the press, and other documents. It includes separated, named archives of Fedor Makhlayuk, Vasily Ragozin, Artem Filatov, and others.
The studio does not aim to accumulate all of the archives on its premises but is open to receiving donations. The strategy of expanding and developing the archive is based on digitizing materials, acquiring non‑exclusive rights to them, attribution, and, if the rights holder wishes, taking archives on loan. Tikhaya Studio is the leader of the archive movement in Nizhny Novgorod and offers methodological support to institutions and individuals.
