Whales. A Book of Records by Bespamyatnykh S.

The project was conceived as a book of records of works by Sergei Bespamyatnykh that contain images of whales and were created between November 1992 and March 2021. The pages of the book are collages of reproductions of the artist’s works, supplemented with drawings. One of the aims of the book is to answer the question of why whales are so often found in Bespamyatnykh’s work.

The cover of the book is a metal construction and incorporates wheels and a rigging chain with which it can be moved.

The book was created as part of the Garage Library project Single Copy.
