Reflecting on the parallels and differences between two competing political systems, the exhibition presented a range of artistic forms, including drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media collage, digital media and social art practice. The artworks were created by the nonconformist artists from the Soviet Union and countries of the Eastern Bloc, as well as by artists from the United States and Western Europe, including self‑taught ones, who were imprisoned.
