The archive collects and structures documentary materials on the Siberian contemporary art scene from the 1990s to the present day.
Comprising two collections of documents assembled in Krasnoyarsk and Yurga, it also covers the activities of artists from Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, and Tomsk.
The first collection in the archive is the Krasnoyarsk Art Process fund, which covers the city’s contemporary art scene from the 1990s onward. It brings together materials on Oleg Ponomarev, Vasily Slonov, Viktor Sachivko, and other artists, as well as records relating to major institutional events, including the Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale and Krasnoyarsk Museum Nights and the self‑organized initiative Black Gallery.
The second collection is the Trans‑Siberian Avant‑Garde collection, which traces the history of art of the 2000s and 2010s. A significant part is the personal archive of artist Oleg Novikov, as well as documents relating to the self‑organized initiative Art Propaganda, an important meeting point for artists and experimental musicians from Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, and Yurga. This collection brings together archival documentation of various transmedia forms of art and artist‑led initiatives, including the Mitrofan interdisciplinary art festival (Mitrofanovo village, 2011–2015), the Dvizhenie festival (Yurga, 2006), the Vovne.ru online community, and the AKT‑produkt label.
The archive contains dossiers, portfolios, photographs and reproductions, documentation of exhibitions and events, video footage, press releases, programs and invitations, reviews, interviews, and notes. All materials are digital copies.
