Art historian and artist Lukia Murina has been collecting materials about contemporary art in Tomsk since the early 2010s, and in 2023 the archive was included in RAAN.
The aim of the archive is to collect and systematize information about artists born after 1980 who emerged in the period 2000–2020s. It is constructed around people who worked actively within that period and influenced the development of contemporary art in Tomsk. These artists represent new trends and uphold the traditions of the Siberian artistic school.
The archive also contains information about the activities of creative groups (TRIp, Malyshki 18:22), self‑organizations (ars kotelnaya, Malenkaya Gallery, apartment exhibitions by Lukia Murina and Nikolai Isaev), and state institutions (the Siberian branch of the National Center for Contemporary Arts, Tomsk Regional Art Museum).
