Russian Futurism Through Its Manifestoes, 1912–1928

Included in the volume are all major manifestoes, declarations, and essays focusing on literature from the period 1912–1928. The book incorporates both the manifestoes of prerevolutionary groups — Ego‑futurism, Cubo‑futurism, the Mezzanine of Poetry, and Centifuge, and those of postrevolutionary groups — Company 41° and Lef. In the introduction, Anna Lawton, editor of the edition, has highlited the historical development and continuity of the movement and has related Futurism both to the Russian national sence and to avant‑garde movements worldwide.
