El Lissitzky: Life, Letters, Texts

This book, compiled by Lissitzky's widow, is a documented study of the artist life and work. It opens with a biographical section, largely based on his letters, which help to learn more about his aims and the circles in wich he moved. This is followed by a series of plates in which every field of his activity is represented, and by two collections of literary documents theoretical writings by Lissitsky himself, and accounts of him by contemporaries and by later critics.
