Описание
Boris Mikhailov is the former Soviet Union's most influential photographer. His varied photographic strategies demonstrate not only a rich imagination but also practical solutions for survival in an unstable and unsafe world. His art seems to embody a search for his own identity, as well as questioning how an artist can position himself in a defeated, dying world. This volume — investigating the work of Mikhailov — comprises an essay by an expert in the field, 55 photographs presented chronologically, each with a commentary, and a biography of the photographer.
